Simon's Clubs
Simon carries 4-PW, a Titleist Vokey "oil can" 52
degree and 56 & 60 degree "spin milled" wedges (the finish helps
prevent glare off the wedges). The shafts have been replaced with new X-100 dynamic
gold from his previous S-300.
My shafts feel about the same flex as my S-100's but
the new X-100's are significantly lighter. My lies are
2 degrees flat with
standard loft
with a D-3 swing weight.
My Driver is the D2 460cc 10.5 loft with the UST
V2 Stiff shaft tipped an inch. I carry a 3 wood with
the old Pro Trajectory 15 degree and a
fujikora
speeder stiff flex.
Simon uses 2 hybrids, replacing his 2 and 3 iron, with
lofts of 17 & 19 degrees and the Aldila NV X-85 shafts.
These clubs are awesome for those long
par 3's and second shots to par 5's
Simon's putter is a custom fit Edel which he was fitted
for. There are no alignment lines, which help in reducing
visial interference.
It is 34inch in length with a variable
loft system of 1-3 degrees which helps on different putting
surfaces.

| I like irons to have that blade look
with a thin top line, my clubs are the Titleist 695CBs
which look like blade but are a slight cavity. |
Getting Started
Simon started playing golf rather late in life at age 14 using his father's old
Wilson Haig-Ultras.
I remember them being long and heavy, but they were
blades so that meant I had to learn how to find the sweet
spot early if I was going to enjoy learning the game!
In the Bag
I always carry some piece of currency
from back home in the UK either in my pocket or in my golf
bag.
I carry
the same ball marker from Harbour town golf links on
my magnetic pitch mark repairer because
its my favorite golf course that I've played here on
the east coast of the States.
Balls
Simon normally uses the Titleiest
Pro V1x or the Pro V1.
I prefer the Pro V1 over the V1x for hard
fast conditions. I mark my ball with a
1" line and a small S next to the number, with
a preference of low numbers.
The Real McDeal McGreal
Simon's nickname is the Real"McDeal" McGreal which he picked
up in Virginia.
I received this honor from a fello
pro, when playing in a 2 man Pro Pro event at the Country
Club of Virginia. I happened to play exceptionally well
that day, when he came out after the round with the Real
McDeal McGreal.
